Position Summary

The Lead Mechanic role that combined light automotive and industrial mechanics with Cues-specific repair You will be responsible for assisting with automotive and industrial repair, troubleshooting, and repair of all Cues equipment. This position acts as the primary resource for all repair and return to service activities, as assigned to specific systems. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Shops. 

 

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with light automotive and industrial repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment as needed. 
  • Disassembly and reassembly of various mechanical, electrical and hydraulic devices. 
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair on Cues equipment to the component level. Utilize specialized testing technology to determine cause(s) of failures and complete necessary activities to restore functionality. Complete all job activities within prescribed safety guidelines to avoid any injury to self/coworkers or damage to customer/ company property. 
  • Refer to and follow prescribed procedures and testing instructions related to specified systems and types of equipment being repaired. Document work actions in appropriate computer system and/or via other authorized method of record-keeping. 
  • Participate in regular team meetings to receive updated information, share challenges, and elevate any concerns from the Operations Repair lab environment. 

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates Degree or Certification in Electronic Engineering/Technology preferred; ASE Certification preferred 
  • 2 years of experience in automotive repair preferred 
  • 6 months experience performing component-level troubleshooting and repair and/or related hardware/systems
  • Forklift experience 
  • Telecommunications hardware/board experience 
  • Experience working both with and without schematics/documentation 
  • Experience using hand tools and shop tools (specifically for Cues equipment) 
  • General computer system/database navigation experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products 
  • Ability to view and enter information via computer keyboard and monitor. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record  
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment
