Position Summary 

A Water Tech 2 will provide strong field services support for data collection to evaluate the condition of fire hydrants and main line valves using a wide array of technologies in an outdoor environment. Role will drive production goals daily while working in the safest manner possible and assist other less experienced technicians. This position is responsible for the accurate collection of data and the safe transporting and operating all equipment.  This role will report to the Field Operations Manager.  

Primary Responsibilities 

• Accurately collect data and ensure safe transportation and operation of all equipment 
• Assess the condition of main line water valves and fire hydrants using a wide array of technologies and specialty tools 
• Conduct water main leak detection services 
• Conduct repairs on fire hydrants and water main valves 
• Maintain clean equipment and toolboxes 
• Maintain safety work zones by utilizing safety items such as traffic cones and signs. 
• Conduct hydrant repairs on out of service hydrants / Conduct valves repairs on main water lines. 
• Mark locations on job sites with utility marking paint as required. 
• Work in all weather conditions (including inclement conditions) to perform assigned duties. 

Job Qualifications and Skills: 

• 1+ year of experience in water distribution 
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record 
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment  
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification as required by project locations 
• Water certifications or ability to obtain certifications  
• Must be able to walk on various terrain, work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 50 pounds 
• You prefer hands-on roles and working outside in all types of weather 
• Ability to travel as needed, work weekends and work some nights. Travel is based on project locations. 

Pay: 

• $24 - $27 Depending on Expereince
