Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $22-30/hr.

Position Summary

Your role as a Mainline Crew Lead will act as a liaison between office staff and field personnel by communicating objectives, providing support, managing tasks, delivering, and receiving maps. Our Wastewater team provides support to the cleaning and closed-circuit television team for various utilities throughout your designated are. You will take part in protecting our environment by keeping our sewer systems and communities clean. This role reports to the Field Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Distribute work assignments from the Field Operations Manager to Technicians
• Provide field services for data collection and assess the condition of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems using a wide array of technologies.
• Maintain clean equipment and toolboxes.
• Perform basic math skills and use of computer applications.
• Receive and respond to first line of technical support issues for Technicians in the group and escalate to Field Operations Manager and/or Project Manager as needed.
• Utilize web maps to facilitate corrections as needed.
• Utilize data transfer tools for accessing and uploading files as necessary.
• Proactively report any issues observed with Technicians to the Field Operations Manager and Project Manager
• Ensure all safety requirements, policies, and procedures are followed and enforced as necessary.
• Perform written discipline as needed with extreme issues escalated to Field Operations Manager

 

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 months experience as a CCTV Operator
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment. 
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification as required by project locations.
  • Must be able to walk on various terrain, work in various type of weather conditions and work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed, work weekends and work some nights. Travel could be upwards of 80% of the time based on project locations.
  • Ability to possess or obtain Confined Space Training certifications.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors whiles using ATV equipment.  Some of our jobs require us to go off-roading.
  • Understand, speak, read, and write English.
  • Outdoor experience preferred
  • Proficient using computers to utilize inspection software, ArcGIS Online maps, Excel, Word, and email

  • $22-30/hr.
